Understanding threats to New Zealand's freshwater fishes using meta-analytics
The Rodgers Lab is looking for an early career researcher or postgraduate student to work on a project which aims to better understanding the threats facing New Zealand's freshwater fishes. The project will involve a systematic literature review and meta-analysis to quantify how prominent stressors (e.g. elevated temperature, hypoxia, habitat fragmentation, etc.) affect key physiological traits (e.g. metabolism, growth, swimming performance, etc) and fitness. This project can be done remotely from anywhere in the world and funds to support the applicant may be secured by applying for a non-travelling fellowship from the Society for Experimental Biology (https://www.biologists.com/travelling-fellowships/). For information please contact Dr Rodgers ([email protected]).
